Departure

  Departing Passengers All departing passengers must be checked for any prohibited items before departure from Chiang Rai Airport. Money and Currency Exchange : The ‘Baht’ is the currency used in Thailand. 1 Baht is 100 Satang. The banknotes consist of 1,000 Baht (brown), 500 Baht (purple), 100 Baht (red), 50 Baht (blue), 20 Baht (green) and 10 Baht (brown). The coins consist of 25 Satang, 50 Satang, 1 Baht, 2 Baht, 5 Baht and 10 Baht. Money and traveler’s cheques can be exchanged at hotels, shops, banks, department stores and currency exchange counters in Chiang Rai Airport. The best place to exchange a traveler’s cheque is at a bank (passport has to be presented). / Passengers are allowed to bring any other foreign currencies in and out of Thailand; however, the amount must not exceed the amount stated by the Customs Department upon arrival. / Passengers leaving Thailand are allowed to take Thai currency not exceeding 50,000 Baht out of the country.  Departure Guide    On entering the Departure Hall you will find several check-in counters, show your ticket and ID card or passport to the Ground Services Officer.  After collecting a boarding pass, proceed to Security Check.  Prohibited Items The Thai Government determines prohibited items which are not considered illegal to be imported to or exported out of Thailand, such as drugs; counterfeit coins or banknotes; pornographic books, pictures or items. Place bottles of liquid, computer and mobile phone in separate tray.   Walk through security check of metal objects  Collect baggage from the conveyer  Note:  Proceed to the passenger lounge where you will find complimentary foods and drinks, internet and wifi connections, washrooms for Ladies, Gents and Disabled.

 DEPARTURES On the day of travel, please be at Trat Airport at least one hour and a half before departure.  Departures Step 1. Present your ticket and ID card / passport at Check-in counter Step 2. At Security Check, present your ticket and ID card/passport  to Security Officer for inspection Step 3. After Security Check, go to Boarding Gate 1 to wait for the flight.  International Departures Step 1. Present your ticket and ID card/ passport at Check-in counter Step 2. At Security Check, present your ticket and ID card/passport to Security Officer for inspection Step 3. After Security Check, go through Passport Control at Immigration Desk. Step 4. Proceed to Boarding Gate 2 to wait for the flight.
